obviously from his friend's cousin's sister's neighbor's roommate's uncle who worked on the vegas strip for 30 years.

ahh how quick some are to make conclusions...this was from one individual who has business relations at the mortgage company i work for. she gave me some avg #'s for those who have been dealers for 1-2 years (at one of the more upscale hotels/casinos)

Is the wife working ? if not, better start helping

Part-time nurse, full-time mom of two boys; actually 3 including my brother 🙂

nurses make more than mechanics. I would have the brother take care of the kids and have the wife work full time as a nurse. Nurses can clear 65K easy if they work a lot.

How about Dental Hygenist? They only go to school for 2 years (Associates) and pull 25-30/hr range.

Do they really make that much out there? Around here they get about $15/hr.
Yup, in NJ they do.

In Northern VA, a dental hygenist can make $40/hour. However, imagine yourself looking into someone's mouth and making an attempt to clean off all their bad habits. There's no way in hell I'd do that job for even $80 an hour. I'm serious.

* pizza delivery -> given ideal location $4k/month with tips is doable if you put in 50 hours/week.
Yeah, there is some earning potential in that line of work. However, you have to factor in all the abuse your car will get - plus, with gas at $2.00 a gallon, it'll eat into the profits a bit.

Hydro workers.

My neighbour is a lineman. He cleaned up last year with just over $120,000 (Canadian but still a sh!tload).

Keep in mind he works overtime and gets called up -some- nights when drunk jackasses or women get the idea of driving and steer into a pole.

Hell... I'd hold a lightning rod in the air for that much money 😉

Not sure of his experience. He doesn't have college. I'm pretty sure a 1-2 apprenticeship style of program.

Where is "around here"? Only three states have a median wage below $20/h. You must be thinking Dental Assistant.
