Prime95 causes a hard lock at 150 FSB

133 is fine (running while i type this)

i have plenty of cooling

43 C now (load) @ 1.47 Ghz and 1.85 Vcore

my setup

Athlon XP 1700+
768 MB crucial PC2100
epox 8kha+
elsa GF2 GTS
60 GB 7200 RPM Maxtor
Intel Pro 10/100 NIC
Pioneer 16x DVD
Panasonic 8x CDRW

tried 1.85V core
and 3.3 V mem

used all the default times normal, fast, fastest, turbo
prime crashed in stage 1,2,3

300W Powerman (voltages are 4.8 V on 5V rail)
i really dont think power is an issue since it hard locks only on prime 95 @ 150 FSB in stage 2/3

DDR w/ 3 DIMM's is shaky enough, I wouldn't plan on much of an overclock with it at all.

im running 3x256 plain ol' crucial at 153 fsb all fastest timings right now at 3 volts...have heatspreaders on them and a 120 mm fan blowing over them. so far its run p95 for over 27 hours. im gonng try 155 next. btw my mobo is the 8kha+, just got it and i LOVE it =).

Not always so. I have three 256mb Crucial PC2100 sticks @ 160mhz FSB with all the most aggressive timings like Turbo and CL2 with no issues. One of my stability tests when overclocking is to run Prime 95 with CPU Stability Test 6.0 for at least 48hrs. My system does this with no problems. DDR timings are more sensitive than plain old SDRAM, but overclocking with a lot of memory is possible. A small bump in the DDR voltage can help too. BTW, your memory voltage is not 3.3v...that is what SDRAM runs at. DDR runs @ 2.5v by default, and all Epox DDR boards come set @ 2.6v by default. I run 2.7v with this setup, but that is far from high. The Epox goes up to 3.2v, which is extremely high for DDR, and I suggest staying below 2.9v max unless you want to risk damaging your memory. :) It may be that one of your sticks won't overclock as high as the rest of the sticks, so it is causing problems...
