Hey guys I recently purchased a " Gtx 760 Asus Direct CU 2 OC " and was trying out all the cool Nvidia demos. "A new dawn" would work at acceptable frame-rate of 20-24 frames....but after the next day I found out that i'm getting only 10 frames on it....The things I performed to try getting back the same fps as before. None of these helped.
1) Stopped all background applications.
2) Set global power to maximum performance in Nvidia control panel.
3) Had started windows firewall then stopped it too.
4) Checked if the computer is over heating. Cpu temp at load 70. Idle 40.
Gpu temp at load 70. Idle 35.
5) My case is clean as I have purchased all new parts just 2 days back.
6) Ran the application as administrator.
7) Stopped my Avast free antivirus.
8) Driver is up-to date.
9) Used Ccleaner to remove all junk files and clean registry.
Also I haven't formatted my Win7 64bit OS after purchasing the new parts. I just installed their drivers and continued using it. Is it my OS? or some other problem? Why isn't it giving me the same fps as before ?
