You must be young! Well, younger than me.
Voodoo > S3 Virge/Voodoo II > Voodoo3 > GeForce2 MX 400 > GeForceTi4200/GeForceFX 5200/Radeon 9200SE > 9600SE > 9800Pro > 6600GT > X800Pro > X800XL > 7800GT > 2x 7800GT SLI
Some may seem like useless upgrades, but the > doesn't indicate an upgrade. Just that I purchased the card, either for myself, a friend, or a family member's pc (dad/sister).

I started off on a Commodore64, back when floppy's were actually floppy. Played games like Test Drive, Guantlet, StarTrek, Wizards.. or something, and this crappy witch game. It was my dad's, and of course, when he left his Commodore Amiga, I inherited that (which is when the REAL gaming began). Had a few PC's in transition to the first one I can remember, a Pentium (I think) 90Mhz.
If you remove it people will start voting for the other options. I'm serious.Thinking of removing the "I don't own either" question.

Sheesh!! umm probably 6800GT and up SLI for 19x12 and 7800GT and up SLI or X1800xx Crossfire for 25x16.
And it would highly depend on the games you play.

I use a a BFG 7800 GTX OC right now.
I have been contemplating whether I should go SLI or buy a 512MB GTX instead.
Running AOE3 at 1920x1200 with HDR on is simply amazing...except the framerate is really low...I guess I would need SLI for that...

Norm
I'm confused...so 7800GTX is not high end anymore?
Of course it is, but there is not question of availability for the 7800GTX.
Thats is all this poll is for, to see how available the x1800XT and 7800GTX512 cards are.
7800GT, X1800XL are also high end. But they are easily obtained.

Great idea keys, in a couple of days we should be able to see just how high (or low) availability on both ultra highend cards is. The one problem is that availabilty doesn't mean people will buy them, the price of the 512MB GTX will limit the number of people who will buy them (considering many already bought a regular GTX or 2).

I ordered a 512MB GTX, and I am going to have to wait a few weeks because its OOS.
