High Display Rates under Win2k?

Hi! I am having the following problem. Win2k displays 1280x960 @85 Hz on my system fine. Switching back and forth to different resolutions is fine too and the Win2k remembers 640x480 @120Hz, 800x600 @ 120Hz, and 1024x768 @ 100Hz. But as soon as I play a game the refresh rate drops to 60 Hz. Can anyone tell me how to freeze the refresh rate under games? Thanks in advance! -Enygma24

does it damage the video card or monitor putting it in a mode it's not supposed to be, while using these programs?

this is common for most games. they usually run at 60hz.

there IS a way to up that rate, if you search these forums for a little bit you should come across how to do it. it's been posted several times
