High CPU usage causes problems

Check out my rig specs in my sig.

Whenever I'm doing something that is CPU intensive, like launching a program or installing a game, my computer's sound gets all distorted and audio skips and stutters, also the mouse will freeze occasionally. Then everything goes back to normal when the program starts or the installation finishes or whatever. Can someone help w/ this?

Weird, though some sort of mother board shorting is not very likely, its still a possibility.
Sometimes anti-virus programs can cause bizarre symptoms when programs are being installed. Maybe you should try system restore to the last stable state of your system.

Same thing happens when my antivirus program is turned off

Does the same happen when you run it at stock speeds...? (FSB 200MHz)

I'll bet it's an unstable overclock. Run it at stock speed to verify.
