one of my friends is trying to play a fool on me......most of the time he is online but is in invisible mode is there anyway I can find out if he is invisible or not? thanks

and BTW my ICQ version is 2000b beta 4.46 build #3264

get something like ICQ eye or ICQ hack.

Have a look at this ICQ Sniffer, I used to use this, get the IP and then a ping.
I wouldnt say its a perfect method but it does the job most of the time.

If your friend WANTS you to see him when he is hiding in invisible mode he can use a feature in ICQ that will allow only selected persons to know he is online while invisible. If he doesnt want you to know when he is online and he is a truly a friend, I would personally respect his privacy and not worry about hacking my buddies.

I agree about the privacy thing.
My husband and I played with the IP Sniffer over a period of time for fun, using our own ICQs and to observe how ICQ developed, whether the hack worked and that kinda thing.

easy, go to www.superior.net/~drummer/icqstalker.html -scroll down type your friends ICQ # and click STALK, don't hit the Enter key.
that will do it and your friend will be shock just don't tell him.
