<< damn just dont cross the border using roads. If you can, drive thru a farm that's on the border (all those midwest states are filled with damn farms), or take a road that doesn't get much traffic (ya don't see any cops setting up checkpoints on pedestrian footpaths, do ya?). >>

I was going to suggest just that. I mean, they're not going to checkpoint every little country road that leads out of the state. And besides, you've got a ford explorer. Use its "exploring" capiblities and go off road :D

Time2Kill, thats a new one I've heard of people from Ohio going to Michigan, but never the other way around.

Speaking of fireworks. My dad is good friends with a guy who did shows professionally for many years (until they had one flowerpot (go off on the ground) and it hurt him pretty badly), and one day while talking to him, the subject turned to the popular fireworks people buy this time of year. He told me a common markup was 5x retail for most items, and it didn't really go any lower then that. So you could be paying wwaaaaaayyyy more then they're worth. Not that it matters, its the spirit of the thing :D

If you get them before everyone wants them you can just drive over and leave without any problems, I live in KY. I have heard that the police here will drive over to the stores and write down the plate # and the wait at the bridge to pull them over. I drive about 15 further in, to avoid even the slightest prying eyes.

I keep saying I need to goto TN mid year but In is 20 min away.

I would just drive over get them and drive back they can't just stop unless you are speeding no seatbelt.

I can't believe there's a whole thread about this. Don't the police have better things to do? I thought fireworks was just a misdemeanor [sp]? Seems like a lot of work for just a small fine.
I bought my son some sireworks in TN and then drove home to GA and didn't think anything of it, just told him not to blow his fingers off. What's the big deal?
