Hide Taskbar on startup in XP Pro... need a program that does this

I'm running my pc in the living room as a hometheater pc...
I've been able to change the bootup logo to custom one, eliminated the login screen, changed the desktop wallpaper to the same as my frontend for my htpc and now want to remove the taskbar.

I want to completely hide the taskbar from ever showing up when xp first boots up. I have hide taskbar enabled, but it still flashes for like 5 seconds before hiding... gives away the whole trying to hide XP feel.

Any programs that eliminate the taskbar and allow you to re-instate it?

use objectdock and choose to hide the taskbar, should work fine.

Yeah... I haven't used that program in ages...hehehe
I'll give it a shot after work, only need to keep it from starting up, hope it works

thnx

you can also just shrink the taskbar into a really really small size... which puts it below the visible line.

not sure if it flashes then or not though.

Or you can just replace the explorer shell entirely. My taskbar is completely custom and never shows up unless I call it. One of my themes doesn't even have a taskbar. Litestep is the best thing I've ever done to my PC.
