I agree! As soon as I saw they accepted PayPal, I realized that was the only way to go.

I used PayPal because I don't buy from overseas with CC as a rule :)

I was about to order from Axshop, and then i remembered I ordered from these guys for a 4 port usb 2.0 hub which was also $5. It came pretty quick, and works fairly well. Well anyways I ordered from these guys, and find out a few days later axshop has some issues internally, and have stopped certain orders. Well I ordered from axshop a while back when they had that shipping issue. Im just glad i didnt make the same mistake this time. Axshop just got axed.

I have one exactly like it, but grey. It's too big to fit in many usb ports you find on the front of cases. Is there a cheap source for something like a 4 inch usb cable, male and female connectors?

There was a question about the size of the SD card that it supports. Here's what support replied:

Subject: Re: From LEDshoppe.com Contact Us

Thanks for your contact. It can read 2GB card, but we haven't test it with
the 4Gb SD card.

They're located in Hong Kong, if I recall.

As a fair warning, they do sell your credit card information to other companies.

I've ordered from them twice, and both times I ended up getting charges from reservationrewards without my consent. When I called reservationrewards, they told me they got my credit card info from LEDShoppe.

You could've warned us before I ordered :(

I'll keep an eye out for suspicious charges on my card.

thanks for the headsup...I ordered it through paypal and after reading this i went in and changed my password. Don't really know the ins and outs to this feces (working with paypal) but at least that cant access my account with the old information. Up till now paypal and I have had a good relationship. Don't need anything to upset the cart. Sent an email to the sellers in this thread and cut and pasted some of the stuff that was said about reselling information. Maybe it will scare them off...

Here is a reply I recieved today from CCNow...

Hello, this is Daniel Blade with CCNow Customer Service.
I received your inquiry, and I thank you for your interest.

Reservation Rewards is a program on CCNow's ordering form that
the customer must select to participate in. By default, they
are opted out of participating in the program. It appears
whomever left that feedback about us did not take the time to
even read what they were agreeing to.

Regards,

i have seen that type of thing at the end of the geeks.com order process, as long as you read and stop after you have placed your order, then you don't have to do it. sounds like someone wasn't paying attention

Now that I think of it, I do remember a page during the order process about some rewards thing. I'm pretty sure I opted out though, hopefully I did.

I got the same opt in from an online purchase from Staples when I got the Epson CX3810 for $30 and free shipping (HD from AT).

It offered a free month of coupons and a $10 coupon off my next purchase at Staples.

I opted in but didn't see any coupons that interested me so I cancelled my membership before the first 30-days were up.

I used the $10 Staples coupon on the Maxtor 200GB they had on sale the following week for $30AR to make my price $20.

I think there's a legitimate Reservatiuon Rewards AND there's a different scam Reservation Rewards.

Wanted to update. Ordered the 24th of march and it came in today. I was hoping to get it last week but I'm still happy that it came from over seas in ~6 business days. The drives themselves look very simple but work well. I even got mini led lights for free which is a + considering shipping was free and each sd reader was about $4 bucks after coupon.

thanks OP!
