Hibernating Problems with Win2K

This is a cool feature that I wanted to use often but I cant get my computer to do it. When I try to hibernate with WIN2K, it doesnt do anything. I try again and then a message pops up saying that my Netgear FA311 NIC is preventing it from doing so. I look in my task manager and dont see any apps that the Network is using. has anyone had this problem before? If so what can I do to hibernate? I need to hibernate sometime soon.
