Hibernate --> Switch Users screen?

Since my reformat and reinstall of WIndows 7 the other day, I cannot hibernate. I have re-enabled it by disabling Hybrid Sleep, but whenever I click on the Hibernate button from the Start Menu, the screen fades and I end up at the Switch Users screen....

The only thing I've done differently in my setup is NOT use a password on my account.

Make sure that hibernation is in fact enabled. In an elevated command prompt, do "powercfg -h on" and reboot.

It is. Just tried that.

There's one "Unknown PCI Device" in my Device Manager...is there some device that I have to have working before Hibernate will work? I keep wracking my brain but I can't think of what I haven't installed a driver for yet...

Some devices can prevent a computer from going into standby, but I don't think any can prevent it from going to hibernate. I could be wrong though. Can you put the computer in standby (sleep)?

YES! I didn't think I could...Weird..

So then it seems like it must be a software setting and not hardware related?

You know what...I didn't. However I checked Device Manager and see ICH9 entries in there, and I have my DVD burner + other SATA devices in AHCI mode. Should that not be enough?

I know I had to do all of that in XP manually, but I don't believe I had to when I was running the Windows 7 RC Beta.
