Wow!! Thanx for all the hello's, and I didn't know that been female on this forum was so special.

Sorry, I already have a free iPod, so I can't offer any ;-)

Yes, I am on ACS, since I like second opinions and have some mobile app questions and ideas I am working on.

I assume it is OK to post on more then one forum, correct?

"not sure what you plan on learning here...nothing useful i guarantee."

We shall see, already got some useful info on Win 7 from just reading posts.

Well here you are in the 0.00001% gender minority on a forum full of geeky nerds. If you have thick skin you will do well otherwise I would run in fear

Don't expect too much useful information here unless you ever wondered if the plan would take off or 0.99999999999 = 1.

OP appears to be a chick and ATOT manages to make it 2 pages without a "tits or GTFO" post? I'm impressed.

Welcome to the asylum, OP. :)

Welcome!
Make sure you are familiar with the Unwritten Rules. I would tell you what they are but that would mean writing them down and we can't have that.
Good luck to you, and Welcome!

What up. Welcome t0 our interwebs. It's easier to lurk, but posting is fun. I think of this as a rated PG-13 4chan, but moar clever. Sometimes.

I had a tough brother and his friends, so I have pretty think skin.

Do geeks have to be men?

Can't say I'm a geek, but I think having some basic knowledge of computers, the internet/networks and smartphones are now kinda like basic life skills of the modern world.

Right?

If theres something you want help with (computer help that is), we probably have it and extensive knowledge on it. Anything else you might as well use reddit or /b/.

Nope, they don't. Geeky girls are just semi-rare.

No, definitely no. I work in computer support/repair at a university, and I would say that half of the student population (or more) are almost totally clueless about anything other than the basic operation of their iPhone or Mac. And this is the "internet generation" that we're talking about.
