I went to my local Officemax in Amherst, Buffalo, and they were having a sale on 100 Pack of Hi-Val CD-r's. Maybe a local deal.

It showed up in the circular and the retail tag on it says $49.99 but it rang up as $9. There are no rebates no coupon, just straight up $9. YMMV.

Dallas, TX Office Max also has this. Rang up 49.99 but the price on the in-store printout was 9.99
10 cents each is not bad. No MIR.

Same deal here in Farmington, MI. There are either 12x or 16x cd-r's, so look closely. Not a bad deal for not having to mess with those damn rebates. Enjoy.

Anyone know if this will be a 5/26 deal only or will it be there tomorrow? I love to get a few packs. Thanks

Deal is good in Hutchinson, KS. Thanks for the tip! It was a good feeling to have them ring up four packs, then adjust the price from $213 to $42.

Btw, they had a 1-page in-store flyer that had this price listed.

Just got back from OM - the deal is still good, but they told me it's only on the 650 meg CDs, so I only picked up 3 spindles. Still a decent deal, though.

Edit - YMMV means "Your Mileage May Vary"

Mine were 80 minute. Also, I noticed that this thread is about a $9 price; mine were $9.99, as marked in the in-store flyer.

It's possible they made a mistake with me. I had a sweet-but-dumb girl do a "price override" on the 80-min. CD's.

. . . now that I look at the sales flyer, it is indeed for the 74-min. CD's. So I got lucky.

Btw, the 3Com 56K internal modem is $55 off at $29.00. This is the full hardware modem that is the industry standard for quality. The other sales prices are nothing special.

Thanks guys.
The first store I went to would only let me buy the 74mins, so I only got 3. Then I went to another local and got the cashier to sell me a couple of the 80 mins for 9.99. So now I have 500 damned CDs here :)

Bolingbrook, IL only had 650mb too, for $9.99 on the in-store circular. There were about 20 left, after I bought mine, and they didn't have any 800mb ones. This is a good deal, I've been looking for some no MIR at $.10 or less for a few weeks, and I always seem to miss the deals. Thanks for posting it!!!
