Sounds like you got a plan hopefully it works out better next go around.
Honestly raspberries are a pain in the ass IMO. We have a
Fall Gold raspberry that is a three years old now and it's non stop maintenance. If I'm not pruning out the infected canes to prevent fungal infections then I'm spraying it to keep the whitefly and leaf miners at bay.
Constant upkeep on the stupid thing.....we have all kinds of different fruits(apples, pears, cherries, grapes, blackberries, ect) and by far the raspberry requires the most work.
