Farming is a misnomer. More of a backyard homesteading. 11 acres isn't terribly much for a farm. And I'm only 35 minutes from a major city, and a little under 2 hours from an even bigger city. So boonies... well yeah.

You seem impressed. So I'll see your cow, goats and chickens and raise you some ducks!

Animal husbandry is considered a type of agriculture(farming)just not in the traditional sense that most people think of. Your post is actually interesting and kind of highlights the disconnect most people have when it comes to ag and the entire scope it entails.

Anyway, nice livestock waffle guy. They look healthy and well taken care of.

I've been tempted to start a gofundme for this little hobby of mine so I could quit my day job. Unfortunately I don't think people are quite ready for crowdsourced farming. 🙁
 
nice little homestead.

we are only 1 acre, just chickens and dogs, greenhouse, 3ksqft garden, adding meat rabbits and more chickens this spring. wife wants a goat though.
