Hi-Tech 50 PK 16x CDR: $8.50 @ Staples B&M

I believe the Hi-Tech CDR's are famous for a certain rebate fiasco over the past few months, but if anyone is curious, they are on clearance now for $8.50 at Staple's B&M.

I saw someone state "these crappy CDR's" in another post, so I'm not sure if I should just return them or not. The thing that irks me is the packaging says "Silver" CDR. Well, I opened them up and they look pretty light greenish to me on the bottom. Comments?

Let me rephrase:

Do these CDR's suck?

Are "Silver" CDR's supposed to have a greenish tint when you look at the bottom? Or are they supposed to look "Silver" like a CDRW?

Thanks!

personally.. i would get one from BB.
they have PNY 50pk for $4.99 after $10 rebate
or
Imation 100pk for $10 after $20 rebate.

i am not going to buy anymore of Hi-Tech CDRs.. not only their CDRs suck, their rebates suck as well.
but then, that's just what i think. $8.50 sounds not too shabby.

I have used these CDR's There OK, Not the best but work fine on my teac 16X

I guess results vary by cd Recorder.

sounds like a great deal. bb, here i come

Admittedly, the "deal" on these is not that great. I only posted it to get answers to my questions. Doh! heh heh

I guess if they aren't Silver like the clearly advertise on they packaging, then who knows what other "surprises" they are holding.

I'll return them. Thanks for the advice!
