Tequila IS a Mezcal :whiste:Why is everyone recommending tequila when he wants a mezcal? They aren't even in the same ballpark as far as taste.
I don't have specific bottle recommendations, in my experience, in your price range, you can get a good "joven" bottle which will have a good smoky taste and not be particularly harsh. You'll be on the lower dollar value for a good reposado or anejo, so I'd maybe stick to joven.
Was about to recommend the same Don Julio Reposado. Though I have always liked Herradura too when I don't want to quite pay for Don Julio.You want tequila
