Hi l have a leisure suit larry question/s

Ok l feel embarrassed asking this cause this game's so old, but about a while ago l bought the classic sierra adventure GAMES (leisure suit larry, kings quest etc) for windows XP, l am using vista business (32-bit). These GAMES seem to be running fine on vista, l can even get xp from my parents.
Now i'm playing leisure suit larry 2 at the moment and my main question is can you get these GAMES (for xp) to run in fullscreen mode. But l just want to explain what l mean by that, l can get the game to run in fullscreen, but i'm really referring to the actual part of the screen where the game is itself, because on my laptop its centred in the middle, (the game screen) and the surrounding screen is all black. Or maybe these GAMES for xp can only be run that way? any ideas, or answers would help alot.
bye from australia and thanks

Maybe you could try to run the game on compatibility mode in 640X480 screen resolution in 256 color mode. Otherwise, if you use DOSBox to run the games then press Alt+Enter to go into fullscreen mode.

Yeah, like the OP said, go into the shortcut properties and set it to 640x480 compatibility mode, or get DOSBox and run the DOS versions of these games in that. It can rescale games to any resolution. (I think Linux + WINE can rescale windows apps to any res too, but then you need to be running at least a virtual machine with linux)

Yes, the Linux (on VM) + WINE is another good choice like Fox5 said above.

Oh, I found another easy way in DOSBox to go into fullscreen mode: Instead of pressing Alt + Enter everytime you can also open up the dosbox.conf file with Notepad and just change as below:

fullscreen=false
to fullscreen=true

This will automatically open DOSBox in fullscreen mode when you run it. 🙂
