Hi I was hoping someone here would be able to tell me what I need to buy. Yes I know how a computer works and what parts I need, However I'm looking for the best parts parts that are cheap. I'm not looking to really spend more then 300 on the this computer and I was hoping someone can just point me in the area and drop a few ideas.
 
Dell outlet or a similar vendor is probably your best bet if you're looking to spend so little.
 
I'm sorry I know I forgot something, I want it for gaming, mmo and steam mostly. I want to keep it under 300 , I can spend more but don't really want to, I live in the U.S. I do not want to over clock it. I will be puting my old hard drive so I have two. I think that is about it

Fill out these questions for us to better help you out.


1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.

8. WHEN do you plan to build it?

Calm down dude, you never said 3-5 months. There's no sense in planning a build that far in advance. Computer prices change way too fast. Put your money in the bank and post again when you're actually close to building.

I assume you don't need a monitor and OS for this build, because that's out of the question.
 
thats the thing, I'm clam don't worry about that, I know prices change and all that, I was hoping to order the parts and such bit by bit. all I looking for is an idea on what to get. I can't buy it all at once. but buying slowly is fine with me. and yeah I'm fine with out these two things
 
Buying bit by bit is a poor strategy. You don't get your money's worth and you're at risk for holding onto a bad component until it's outside the return window.

Don't buy parts before you can actually use them, unless you find a spectacular price on something. Odds are, prices will drop by the time you actually put everything together.

yup, that case + psu for $50 would be a pretty spectacular price
too bad it's sold out and price readjusted
 
kuorusama read carefully the sticky post at the begining of the forum.

Put together a make believe system and post it. People would correct you form there otherwise you are running in circles around yourself.
