Hey ive been cracking RC5s for a few days now (I have a Pentium III 800, Athlon 750, PIII 733, Celeron 566, and a Celeron 450 running just about 24 hours a day) But I have yet to get my password and when I go to the participants stats and put in the first part of my email adderss it doesn't come up and its been about 5 days any idea whats going on? I should just stop using the resources if its not going to reconize me.

That's probably because the client defaults to cracking OGR. Try entering your e-mail here instead. If you want to do RC5, not OGR, follow the instructions in our FAQ.

Welcome to the TeAm! :)

Try putting in your full e-mail address that you entered when you configured your dnet client. I had to do that since the first part of my id (e-mail address) is the oh-so-original rc5 it worked fine using my full e-mail address.

Have you beenfluching your blocks? When was the first time you flushed?

They have been having some problems with the stats in the last few weeks. Post again if you still can't find your id using your full e-mail address.

Good call ken_g6!

Hi Cycas, and welcome to the Team! Have a look here and see if this is what's happening to you too. Try entering your email into the OGR stats engine here and see if your client is doing the Distributed.net OGR project instead of RC5. If it is, you can go to your OGR stats page and click "Please email me my password" and then go to Team Anandtech's RC5 page and click "I want to join this team!". This will work, the OGR and RC5 go hand-in-hand. Let us know if there are complications!

edit: wow, I'm third... good job #/0 and Ken! : )

By the way, the new Team website is up, and you can register here to be a registered user, and to receive the email newsletter if you like.

Hey guys once again glad to be on the team. One more question for yas. Im now flushing 3 of the computers through proxy.teamanandtech.com (2 are located remotely) and was wondering do I still get my updated stats from the d.net site? This is my first experience with distributed computing.

Ps thanks for the warm reception :)

You get stats at Dnet like before, and you get much-faster stats here for the last 7 days and here for the duration that you've been using the proxy. These are updated half-hourly on the :00/:30 and the :15/:45 minutes, respectively.
