so i'm here helping my gf move into her apt at duke for grad school. i hear there is good bbq in the area so i'm looking to ATOT for suggestions on where to eat and pig out on some good bbq and southern food.

soooo SUGGESTIONS!
 
I'm in fayetteville for the night.... drove down from Milford, connecticut. Off to Jacksonville florida in the morning.
 
bullocks is good, its off of hillsborough, wont really see it on there, go on that road where Eckerd's is.
Also great burgers and burger combos (including incredible shakes) at Cookout...on Hillborough St. in front of CVS.

Best BBQ is Keaton's 2 hrs to the west if not then go to any place in Lexington an hour or so to the west. Best local BBQ I have had is at Cook Out

Whenever I come to Durham, I have to put on a bulletproof vest and look over my shoulder. My housemates and I went to a Durham Bulls game a couple of months ago and I think I was more scared walking around downtown there than I am in Baltimore.

Downtown Durham at night is pretty scary...

I took some classes at Durham Tech and Dominos wouldn't even deliver there...

Yup, Durham Tech is east of the projects which is east of NC Central, definitely don't be there after the sun goes down.

Nowhere near as bad as Fayetteville, but definitely the worst area in a 75 mile radius.

also ~1hr out in lexington is Lexington bbq...best. EVER.

also eat at bojangles, fried chicken wins
