You can do Penn Station NYC to Boston's South Station in 3.5 hours on it, which beats the headaches with flying out of NYC area and into Logan. It's cheaper too.
Anything beats taking the airport. With the train, you arrive 10 miutes before departure. with an airport (especially logan), you have to get there 3 hours before departure. Don;t even get me started on how to leave logan.....
