Hi everyone, please forgive for my first post for being such nature. I was trying to search for more info on the net and i finally resorted to here.

My mom went to work this morning at 11.30 am (EST Time) to Sam's Club at London Ontario
http://www.samsclubcanada.ca/

at around 3.10pm, her car was stolen while parked in the employee parking lot. Basically my mom is stranded there after work at 8pm and my dad has to go pick her up. They approached the store manager and called the police. When the police came, they looked at the secuirity tape and was able to determine the exact time the car was stolen. Unfortunately, the face of the thief was not clear due to the crappy tape 🙁

The car has insurance but most likely it will not pay enough for another car 🙁

The situation is that the car was stolen at work, on company property and employee parking lot, should the company at least compensate for the theft?

:brokenheart:

Um, Sams Club is in NO WAY responsible for the theft. That's why you have insurance. And if insurance doesn't cover the cost of a new car, then that's YOUR fault.

i think the company will not claim responsibility. the only thing you can do is wait and maybe the car will be abandoned somewhere. my friend's car got stolen twice, and both times it was pretty much unharmed, sans the cd player.

and good luck.

Since you requested no trolling, as much as I would like to rant about such a question, I will give my short answer.

NO

because there's a user here by the name of lgnyugen ?

I've seen signs all over private parking lots for stores that basically state that they are not responsible for any damage to your car. I would assume that this would also count for having your car stolen.
