Welcome Yauchie!! I was gonna warn you to stay away, as the addiction is too strong. But I feel that it may be too late. 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving!

That's right. He's celebrating the discovery of the new world and the first feast between the pilgrims and native americans. It's a national holiday in Italy.

You are an example of the sheer ignorance of Americans regarding the world. If you were being sarcastic, then, that's cool. 🙂

...the Thanksgiving has no the same importance in Italy it has in your country, and its history here is quite short, but I know it's a very important feast for you 🙂

Welcome, maybe you can help me with my Italian. I need it to pass college!

Ho studio italiano due.

Your english is already better than 90% of the people on this board, Welcome! 🙂

here the first doubt (lol)....a little question for u: "feast" sounds like our "festa", in italian, that means an event to celebrate in some way (or simply a party). I have used it quoting DigDug...but I'm not so sure to have used it correctly... does "feast" men the same of "festa"? 😀

Typically, "feast" refers to large quantities of food.

Ok, if I can help you in any way, I will be happy to do it.

Ok, se posso aiutarti in qualche modo, sarò felice di farlo

😉

I need to learn english because of my job... but not only.... I also love this language and think it is an important "passport" for me since probably I will leave Italy within the next years (I'm a webcoder and system administrator for a group of some firms - in the IT - having centers in many other countries than Italy).
Now I'm trying to achieve a degree in computer science...but soon, I think, I will leave for - probably - the Netherlands, "to begin" 😀 . I still need an intensive use of dictionaries and software translators ("my" dictionary isnt enough to take a conversation properly), but I think writing here would help me. 😉

Sorry for being crabby, guys. Happy thanksgiving to you all! Maybe Yauchie will be able to come visit us one day and learn what "food coma" means!

Ok, let me try to translate..

"Ok, if it is possible for me to help you in any way, I would be happy to do it."

?

🙂

They have food coma in italy too.

Youchie, "coma" is when you pass out and cannot wake up.
