Hi all easy external HDD question :)

Hi all, kind of a silly question... I have both a PVR FTA unit which records to an external USB HDD , and I also have an HTPC beside my TV. Surprisingly enough, the Vantec NexStar 2 enclosure that I have:

Has both a USB interface and _2_ Firewire ports..

My question simply is, am I able to hook this drive up to BOTH my PVR and my HTPC at the same time? If not, why the hell would there be 2 firewire ports right?

If anyone can let me know that would be great, thanks 🙂
 
External enclosures that use FW can be daisy-chained. Basically you can hook up another FW enclosure into the second port of the first one. I am not sure if you can access it with both ports. Hook it up and find out.
