Ok, my rig as follows:

HSF: Zalman CPNS 8000
RAM: OCZ REAPER HPC DDR800 PC6400 4-4-4-15 EPP 2x 1gb

GFX: BFG OC2 8800GT PCIe 16x (Geforce Beta drivers 174.*)
WiFi: D-Link Xtreme N DWA-556 PCIe 1x
HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 Sata II 500GB
TV Tuner: WinTV 150MCE w\ remote PCI
Monitor 1: MVV220 22" LCD 1680x1050 (on 8800)

Webcam: Logitech Quickcam IM Chat USB
PS: 500Watt Apevia
Case: X-Qpack 2

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit with all updates (SP1) with 1gb Readyboost flash drive attached.

So my problem with my system is DVD playback. I get 5 -10 minutes of playback and then it freezes, if I wait a few minutes playback will resume again for 5 - 10 minutes and then freeze yet again.

I tried downgrading my chipset drivers, reverting to a older firmware for my disc drive, tried old and new drivers for my gfx, multiple retail dvd playback softwares/codecs etc, check my temps which run below 33 C idle and below 50 C on load, I have removed all other cards in the system to see if it was a conflict error, and gotten no where.

I can say mounting a DVD image with Magic ISO/virtual clone drive and playing them back with retail or even Vista MCE and they playback flawlessly.

My thoughts right now, it's one of three problems:

1. The Drive itself - But why then do I get 5 - 10 minutes of flawless playback in the first place?

2. The Motherboard - But everything else seems to work without problem

3. The OS - But if that was the case, wouldn't even image mounted DVD's have issues?

Any help with my problem or input would be greatly appreciated.
