HHC-001 ?

I have a HHC-001 Coolermaster HSF, where can I get a 60mm-80mm fan adapter so I can install a quieter fan? Are there any 60mm fans that a quiet but push enough air? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks

Does anyone use the Zalman series coolers? More specifically the Zalman CNPS7000-Cu CPU Cooler?

I'm running on a SOYO KT-400 mobo with an Athlon 2800+XP Barton.

My personal opinion, spend a little extra money and just get another heatsink/fan combo. I've got the CM HHC-001 and I tried it with a 80mm fan using an adapter before. Although a great HS despite it's rough base, the HHC-001 is not very secure using the single clip that it comes with. The added weight and bulkiness of the adapter+80mm fan tends to make the HCC-001 slide a bit. In the end, I just gave up on it.

mantis69666 a few months ago I asked the same questions on here about using an adapter and all that. In the end I just decided to get this fan, and although its still 34dB, its a whole lot quieter than the stock HHC-001 fan, and I get the same temps as well. I guess if you have the time and money you could just buy a new HSF to replace the whole thing, but I didn't want to cough up money or for a whole new HSF.

I've been using an HHC-001 with an adapter and a Titan 80MM aluminum fan from PCMods for about 6 months. My 1700 T-Bred "A" runs under 34C with this combo at idle, about 39C load.

This fan pushes about 37CFM, but is under 28dB. Looks nice, too!

Has anyone tried using the new Aerocool DP-101? It's a radiator type HSF and, by the specs, looks to be really quiet. I just don't want to drop more money on a whole new HSF unless I know it will be able to work better or equal to my current set-up. Thanks

Aerocool DP-101

A friend used an HHC-001 with a Thermaltake fan controller. Got pretty much the same temperatures on a slightly overclocked TbredA 1700+ with it set to medium. Low gave slightly higher (but still reasonable) temps. Try one of those or one of the Zalman Fan Mates and don't worry about fan adaptors or new heatsinks.
