I'm pretty sure this is the same thing. I remember hearing about the little kid getting killed, and another dying from her mother smothering her while trying to protect her. Not sure what the source was, but this has been out for at least a week now. It's just back in the news because the swap just took place.

The fact that you have articles that talk about how people celebrated the release of a murder (and honestly I do'nt even know about the details. I'll give give the benefit of the dobut) only makes the Israeli government look better. We'll see seeing posts about "inhuman arabs" for a while as people refer to celebration of the return of a murder, etc.

The good I see in this is simple: it is dialogue. even if it is small, it happens. That is something I'll be happy for no matter what. If both sides believed that the other indeed MUST be destroyed at no cost, then something like this would have never happened.
