Isn't that already kinda going on? In a wildfire sense I mean - small conflicts keep erupting between the two - it's nothing new (or remarkable, IMO. Silly certainly.)

What I had in mind was all out Sunni v. Shia warfare, perhaps with Sunni nations even fighting Shia nations.

Hisb'Allah are getting their weapons via Syria, more specifically the Assad regime transport them and cry foul when Israel bombs the sheit out of them for it.
