I saw a post where you were gonna ask a girl to be your g/f. Well???? I can't find the original thread and was just wondering whatever happened. :D

well, he must have gotten her. See, when you get a girl, the want more and more of your time. He probably just can't make time to post on the forums because his girl will whine and complain that he's not spending enough time with her and that he's not making her feel wanted. That's about what happens, yeah.

Hello.

Didn't ask yet...I'm a chicken sh!t...I had some perfect opportunities tonight (we saw a sneak preview of Family Man w/ Nicholas Cage) but I didn't do it. :( :( :(

I know she'll say yes, but I can't get up the nerve to ask for some damn reason.

Do I need to be liquored up or something?! I don't even like the taste or effects of liquor though! (never been CLOSE to drunk, but it looks like a waste of time)

:eek:

I dont' know if getting drunk would help. That would be reason #1 for me to turn down a guy. That's just me though.
Try to get your nerve up some other way. I know you can do it :)

<< never been CLOSE to drunk, but it looks like a waste of time >>

You have much to learn, daniel son ;)

Seriously though, I would NOT recommend getting rat arsed to ask a girl out. You'll end up making a fool out of yourself and she'll never talk to you again. Just relax and build yourself up to it...get dressed up in something you feel comfortable in as this will make you feel more self confident. Then just go for it - if you're so sure she'll say yes, the only thing you have to feat is blurting the words out. You don't have to worry about the rejection element ;)

Good luck.

I was joking about the liquor. Sorry if I sounded too serious about it. :)

I was dressed comfortably.

<sigh>

What is wrong with me? I like her, she likes me, everyone we know has asked if we are going out to which I respond, "Ummm...not technically but..."...

:eek:

Zippy: just do it! Lemme tell you a story. I liked this guy and he liked me, but we were each too scared to ask each other out. It took a third party to get us together. Do you want to end up asking yourself what could have been...what did you miss?? C'mon, just pick a day to do it, screw up some courage and ask! If you don't, she might have another guy ask her and then you'd be a friend only.

thereds, no pics, I don't want a bunch of computer geeks oogling over her, sorry. :)

Azraele, well, we're pretty much best friends too...I met her in October, we just connected really, really well. It's been great. I really want to ask her! Agh, I hope my parents will let me have her over while they are at a movie tomorrow, not likely, but it's worth a shot.

EDIT: Azraele, I've been picking days for the last 10 days-two weeks. :eek:

<< It's not that simple...I suck at that stuff >>

Yea it is - ask her if she wants to go out sometime or if she's interested in hooking up. You'll know what to do from there

Zippy;

when my husband first asked me to be his girlfriend, he stuttered and mumbled and beat about the bush and FINALLY in an act of complete despair stuck his tongue out(not at me!)and said: "bleaaahh I am so terrible at this. Will you go out with me? I like you, I love spending time with you and you are the best friend I have".

I said yes.

His honesty and nervousness were so endearing (that and I was head-over-heals in love with him anyway) that his request was incredibly charming to me.
You'd be surprised at what a girl would consider romantic.

Say something like 'I really like you, and I'd really like to spend some more time with you'. Chuck a couple of 'errs' in there and Bob's your Uncle and Fanny's you reward..I mean aunt ;).

Girls love it if you come over all shy and coy and nervous. Just make sure you don't veer into being pathetic ;)

edit: re. what Elita said - see, being nervous will actually help you! :)

Heh, I know I'll be nervous anyway, not need to fake it.

I already spend a lot of time with her...A LOT...so genocide:

Heh, we've gone out to the movies about 4 times in 6 weeks and she's come over once on another weekend.
