On a luxury car or luxury suv yes chrome wheels do look good on them depending on the design. On the other hand civics, accords, integras do not look good with any type of chrome wheels especially ones that are too big and makes the car look like a 4x4. Stick with the tuner style wheels because chrome wheels aren't going to make your econo boxes any classier.

I saw a probly 10+ year old "Lexus" (Coulda been a Toyota, they looked so damn similar at that time) with four brothas in it. This thing was slammed, I mean the wheel wells were sitting on top of the low-profile tires and probably 18-19" chrome bling wheels. We won't mention how the car was bobbing around because of the sh!tty suspension job, that the driver was safely navigating traffic with his upper half in the back of the car (recliner much?), and that the car probably barely ran.

My all time favorite was a 1994 Ford Escort sporting chrome rims, the wide kind too!

In my old apt complex, before I bought a house, someone had a Ford Focus with the cheesy spinner hubcaps that you can buy at Wal-mart. <shakes his head>

it's a distraction thing--the shinyness of the wheels blinds you from seeing the rest of the car

When I used to drive down the 405 in Los Angeles every morning for work, I regularly saw a Camry with huge, chrome rims and the Toyota symbol on the back had been replaced with the chrome letters "DUB."

Reminds me I saw a Aerostar van with chrome spinner wheelcovers. First time I'd seen fake spinners. I was think'n "wow, that's ghetto!!"
