Bush is gonna leave without paying a several trillion dollar bill for all his deficit spending.
Nice try. But like I just said - he'll have 4 years to fix the spending problem when he's re-elected(provided enough seats are gained).:)

Now back to the subject:D

Knock it off, guys. You are diverting this thread from the subject at hand, namely Cad's strange compulsion to inflate every Dean hiccup into a capital offense. Why is this, do you suppose? Is it merely an attempt to distract from Bush-lite's many substantial failures, or does he bare some darker obsession?

My goodness, the guy is done and CADDY still has a love affair with him. That is odd, must've been luv at first sight when he went to Dean's Rally.

Dean paid the bill

As anyone with business experience knows, it's standard practice to allow 30 days to pay a bill. Dean paid in only two weeks. As expected, this was just another attempt to smear Dean, much ado about nothing.

Nope - remember - I've moved on from dean - dave allowed me closure;):p
I did hear rumor that the store had been contacted but hadn't actually heard the money had arrived.
And inspite of Bow's attempts at saying this was some sort of smear - it was not. It was news about the candidate that was being talked about.

Oh, and BTW - the "standard" 30-day term doesn't apply to C.O.D ;)

So much for that vaunted personal responsibility "you people" bleat about. Others might feel a moral obligation to present the rest of the story, having made a defamatory claim about another person.

Don't worry, I have CAD figured out. He'll move on to attack the front runners as they arise. Perhaps a random post here and there about other, but he'll move on over time. Not blaming him really, as this tactic has been used by partisans since the beginnings of politics. It is interesting to see this again though.

- I hadn't seen the story yet. I heard a rumor on Friday about the bill but hadn't specifically looked for anything on this since friday - and believe me - I would have posted ANY information on this;). So you can take your accusations and stuff them. The "claim" was accurate so it wasn "defamatory" at all. It was "true";) Dean's campaign didn't pay the bill. They now have - Good for them and the sandwich shop.
Now about that C.O.D./ net 30 thing....;)

Winston - there have been plenty of threads posted by me on all of the candidates and I will continue to do so. Did you miss the two I posted yesterday?
Comments by me: "kerry looks tough to beat" in my poll post and the other thread was about kerry and dean sparring in the media. Yep - I'm on a mission

Maybe it's just called news...but I don't know - why don't you and Bowfinger PM me with news you feel is appropriate for me to post - how would that suit you?

I was watching the news on Saturday and there was a clip about Bush promising to halve the budget deficit by 2005. Seeing that he's a man of his word, I would be inclined to believe him.

Didn't they have a conservative estimate of about $550B or so?

No he isn't.

And even if he does, big frikken deal. He took office with a surplus, now we are supposed to be grateful he is ONLY going to leave office with a $250B/year deficit after racking up a couple trillion in debt for us to deal with?

In case you haven't noticed, a lot of conservative Republicans are very concerned about the projected deficits in Bush's budget.

Don't get me wrong. I'm nobody's conservative, but I think we're all going to be paying for Bush-lite's private war for decades to come. I'm more concerned about the much discussed intelligence failures in this adminisration, the biggest of which is that monumental vacuum beween Bush's ears. :disgust:
