Thanks for coming you all - next time spend more and make sure you pay before leaving.:p

I'm sure it wasn't done maliciously, but it's a funny story... :)

The same stories pop up after every big campaign. In some cases, it's truly a candidate who is hard up for cash. In most cases, including this one, it's a simple oversight which will be quickly rectified.

The manager(owner?) was on the radio this morning. He didn't seem to think it was a "simple oversight" - especially due to their history and him trying to make that bill COD. I'm sure it'll get paid, but as of yet - there hasn't been contact(save one call saying someone will contact him:p) from the dean camp about this after repeated attempts(which is why we now know about it). We'll have to see how this one turns out.

Doubtful. We should call for a complete investigation because the American people need to know why he can't pay his bills. They need to know this before they elect him.

I'll go with that:) He can't leave office until we get the budget cuts that are necessary to fix the problem of overspending in our gov't. Everyone should vote Bush, and any other Republican so they can have a super majority so we can actually push through the necessary cuts in expenditures.:D

Yep - I'll forward that idea to the campaign.:D
Thanks

Nice try. But like I just said - he'll have 4 years to fix the spending problem when he's re-elected(provided enough seats are gained).:)

Now back to the subject:D

Yes, the only thing stopping the GOP from fixing the spending problem is lack of seats

Have you been paying attention? Guess not.

Anyway - back to the non-paying dean campaign. If you want to bitch about spending - there are hundreds of threads to do it in.:)

Knock it off, guys. You are diverting this thread from the subject at hand, namely Cad's strange compulsion to inflate every Dean hiccup into a capital offense. Why is this, do you suppose? Is it merely an attempt to distract from Bush-lite's many substantial failures, or does he bare some darker obsession?

OR...it was because it was on/in the news...

So yeah, the feable attempts at yet again diverting every thread into a Bush bash session has failed. You also seem to have some baseless assumption of motive. I think you forgot to actually read my post...I think I said something like "Now I'm sure the bill will be paid" in the original post. But yeah - I made it into a capital offense.

My mistake, that's obviously the case. How silly of me to suspect ulterior motives. I look forward to your threads on these other stories "on/in the news" at the same site:
  • Area Snow Ordinances In Effect
  • Plans Released for New Hospital in WDM
  • West Des Moines Hospital Proposed
  • Accident Kills Runnells Child
  • Primate Sanctuary Nearing Completion
  • Des Moines City Council Seat Filled
  • Library Under Budget
  • Government issues warning about bird flu
  • Father of Michael Jackson's accuser seeking visitation
  • New judge picked for Scott Peterson trial
  • Another inflammation marker linked to heart risks
  • Coast Guard, F-B-I, Border Patrol see progress in port security efforts
  • Justice Department probe finds no abuse of Patriot Act
  • Power problem crops up on "Opportunity" rover
  • Study: Better communication needed for parents of kids in research
  • Weather woes send federal employees home early
  • FCC proposes fines against Clear Channel, Young Broadcasting
  • Narrow victory for British leader on university fees
  • Plan to dismantle settlements rejected
  • Two C-N-N employees killed in Iraq
  • U-N agency says African polio outbreak spreading
  • U-S troops discover car bomb near Governing Council office
  • Report: Japan has information of possible terror attacks in southern Iraq
  • Army says three suspected Iraqi guerrillas killed during central Iraq raids
  • Egyptian, U-S diplomats arriving to try to unfreeze Mideast peace talks
  • Attorney general calls for `courage and determination' in terror war
  • Cheney meets pope as Vatican looks beyond its opposition to the Iraq war
I dare say most of these are far more newsworthy than an 11 day old lunch tab ... except for people with unhealthy fixations on Dean.

So let's get back on topic. Why is Cad stalking Dean?

Nice try though. You can try as hard as you want to make a case that I have some "fixation" with dean, but it's totally false. Ofcourse you can read into things whatever way you wish if it makes you sleep better at night.
Again, I heard it on the radio, I read on the news, I heard the guy talk about it on the radio, it's been on the hourly local news(radio), but yeah - I'm stalking dean
rolleye.gif
:p
I guess WHOTV and WHO radio have something against dean by your thinking.

Now, as to your claim there is much more important things to discuss - then by all means post about them. I've been following this primary race quite intently - and this NEWS qualifies(not that you'll ever accept that). Anyway - think what you wish Bow - the only "fixation" here is you, with your feable attempts at trying to discredit me:p

Hope you sleep good tonight.:p

I agree, because they didn't cover these other 27 stories I copied from their home page. Just like you, all they report is attacks on Dean.

Oh, no wait, that is just you. Never mind.

I guess you really need a good night's sleep - no? If not -then I'd suggest getting a new pair of reading glasses. I've been over your little asinine assertions - it doesn't play.

Now back to the topic of the thread.:)

I somehow suspected Cad would forget to post an update:

Dean paid the bill

As anyone with business experience knows, it's standard practice to allow 30 days to pay a bill. Dean paid in only two weeks. As expected, this was just another attempt to smear Dean, much ado about nothing.

Edit: "It seems like some people just aren't happy unless they have something to whine/complain/bitch at [ Dean ] about." Any guess who said this (mostly)?

Nope - remember - I've moved on from dean - dave allowed me closure;):p
I did hear rumor that the store had been contacted but hadn't actually heard the money had arrived.
And inspite of Bow's attempts at saying this was some sort of smear - it was not. It was news about the candidate that was being talked about.

Oh, and BTW - the "standard" 30-day term doesn't apply to C.O.D ;)
