The Off Topic forum of AT is, sadly, kind of inbred and kranky, like the folks huddled in some cluster of weather beaten shacks in a remote hollow in the Ozarks.

But, underneath the bad teeth and worse grammar, we have a heart of gold.

If you can get past the smell, you can make some true friends here, and failing that, you are bound to make a life-long enemy or two.

It's worth the trip. You'll see people behaving in ways you never thought possible, and other people behaving in ways you wish weren't. Let's just say that we have more than one village idiot, and that the competition for the title is fierce.

And yet, there are also some of the most solid netizens you'd ever hope to meet. For instance, there's me and, ummmm, errrrr . . . 😳

But the main point is, membership is free. 😀

You guys are crazy! I have no idea why me saying that I am a cheap chick is drawing so much criticism. Oh and as far as the rainbow lips, I thought that picture was funny because of the sprinkles on the mouth. I own a bakery so that is why I chose it.

For those of you who have responded so nicely to me, thank you. To all the other grouchy skeptics, you don't scare me. 😛
