I doubt they have any plans to release the emails--they just need to mine for more kompromat on GOP officials since so many of their regulars lost seats!

Probably Russia. Microsoft announced detection of Russian phishing attacks earlier this year by the same group that hit the DNC. I love the smell of nothing burgers in the morning. Maybe some might stop thinking this is such a nothing burger now...

Why would they take responsibility for failing to act against Russia, failing to allocate funding to states to secure elections etc. when they can just blame Democrats for the hack?

It seems Russia is playing both sides. If they were responsible for getting Trump elected I’m not certain what they’re specifically after, unless it has to do with gaining the upper hand on any and all information pertaining to them.

I suppose they’re just keeping an eye on any official(s) who might be planning something against them whatever that might be. I doubt Trump will ever wake up and smell the coffee as it pertains to Putin.

Ah man, bet they wished they took Russian interference seriously.
On the other hand, Dems don't have a Russian agent on the dole like Assange, so maybe they are not worried.

My hope would be they are not treasonous scum that don't care about the integrity of our elections at all. Prior evidence has been indicating otherwise. Maybe being the target instead of the beneficiary would give a wake up call. We'll see.

Yup. That's why playing the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" game Trump's been doing is so dangerous and shortsighted.

The backstab is a matter of when.

It was so clear to see what kind of dirt bag Putin is when he high fived the Saudi Prince at the G20 Summit two days ago. It was like, ‘good job friend, you’re a murderous POS just like me and I love it’.

Komopromat takes many forms. Putin will find a way to use it to his advantage.

You'd hope some of these elected offcials would grow some balls and take this stuff to the CIA/FBI. Instead of allowing themselves to be blackmailed.

This brings up an interesting question and it’s only a question at this time.

What if Russia’s play is the opposite of 2016? They hack and release embarrassing stuff thru Wikileaks or some similar useful idiot but it’s all files that damage Republicans.
Would members of these boards spread those rumors?
Would you read thru them knowing that it has been selected to be damaging?
Would you be capable of ignoring them?
Would you say fuck it the other guys humped this now it’s my turn?

I look at this as "my side", Russia, from Putin's perspective. Seeing how he plays things, his KGB background and expertise in kompromat, getting information on all Congressmen and high-level individuals would seem a given. It just happens that the Republicans as a whole are more vulnerable and this would account at least in part for their leaders bleeding out for Trump. It also means that some Dems with skeletons in their closets are to be looked out for just in case. I'm not saying I'm worried but it seems prudent to remain aware of possibilities.

Yeah, it's tough times. For me, personally, I don't care what the contents are but I also don't want it held over them as blackmail. I just wish we could get past this time where we treat politics like sports. People only seem to care about winning these days instead of what's best for us. I'm only 31, so maybe it's always been this way, but it's fucking childish and high time we got past it.

Lol. Rudy even replied and is aware of it, but he didn't actually fix it.

I'm a big fan of truth and transparency. I don't give two shits that the DNC was hacked or that all their laundry was aired out. That part is good for Democracy no matter who did it or which party got hacked. What I don't like, from anyone let alone our Russia friends, is the lies and bullshit. To this day half of America still believes some fucked up shit was revealed by the DNC hack when it essentially revealed nothing even close to out of the ordinary.
