Hey, remember that South Park game that MS announced at E3 '08?

It's a Tower Defense game called South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play! and will debut this week at Comic-Con.

The game is scheduled to launch on Oct 7th along with new episodes on Comedy Central.

MechaStreisand is go!

Honestly I have no idea if MechaStreisand is in the game or not. Just seems like a likely enemy. Well, her and/or the Woodland Christmas Critters.

Update: GameTrailers has a gameplay/dev interview trailer up.

Update 2: Down the thread, I said that while the Tower Defense genre has been crowded, it's not really so for the XBLA because no tower defense games have been released. Now, we've not only gotten this South Park game but Defense Grid: The Awakening and Plants Vs Zombies coming too! LOL

Kinda curious. I've played a few that are fun. What is the best tower defense game that is free for the PC?

That N64 FPS was fun with friends. Other than that nothing.

I guess a true South Park fan will enjoy it, but as a casual fan of the show, this just looks like a sub par way to milk the franchise.

I dunno about free, but the best tower defense games I've come across on the PC are Defense Grid and Plants vs. Zombies. Both look and play great. PvZ is $10 on Steam, I think DG is like $20. I paid $5 when they had it on sale, but it's well worth the $20.

Outside of a couple of Community/Indie games, I don't think there is a single tower defense game on XBLA.

Definitely over saturated in the PC side though.

Plant vs. Zombies is awesome on the PC, it'll be interesting to see how they handle the port to console.

Gets pretty hectic, seems like it would need the precision of a mouse, but I guess we'll see.
