Hey, I have an AOL Plus DSL account at work and can't access the Anandtech forums from there. I could only access them from home, with my Optimum Online cable account. Why is this happening? Thanks for your help in advance.

AOL is pretty bad, but they give me the best price for DSL for business. It's cheaper than if I went directly with Verizon, even though AOL provides my DSL through Verizon. And Road Runner cable for business is even more expensive. So I'll keep AOL, at least for my business, since it's cheaper.

DSL from Verizon starts at $59.95 per month. Road Runner starts at $109.95 per month. AOL Plus DSL is only $43.95 per month. So I just use AOL.

right but are gAyOL and Verizon the same speeds?

Edit: Roadrunner for businesses is very very good, its a dedicated high speed line with garunteed bandwidth, thats why they charge more.

Story goes: They used to allow AOL, but had problems w/ some bad aol users spamming the boards. So, AT contacts AOL to address the problem. AOL ignores AT. AT gets fed up and bans AOL. Thus, if it's a concern to you the complaints should be directed at AOL for ignoring abuse reports.

Would be nice to see how many folks dropped AOL as an ISP because of that but I doubt the number is significant.
