Hello all, im new to this forum but not to building pcs. well its time again to build another pc and after reading countless hours at toms and here and t-b, i have decied that i was going with the MSI-Diamond and a 3200+ and some consir ram and a gforce video card...
now i really dont think i will need sli now and if i do i can always upgrade the MB later for a few more bucks but i really like the fact the MSI diamond uses Soundblaster audio, i thought it came with wifi and bt but now it doesnt :frown:
i guess what i need to know is that i want a good pci-E MB with good onboard audio and good features, mainly i will use it for video encoding and gameing so i would like best of both, i have searched and searched but every seems to only review the sli boards, so if you guys could recomend a good PCI-E AMD MB and maybe a good video card as i was leaning towards the winfast px6600gt and the consair ram value pack and a seagate 160 sata W/ncq so please any info would be great. TIA

If you think you might want to do SLI in the future, then it is cheaper to buy the SLI motherboard now then to go with a single PCI-E motherboard and then buy a new one in the future. You don't have to put 2 video cards in just because the board is SLI ready. That being said, I was looking at buying the Abit AX8 as a single PCIE AMD board but I got sick of waiting for it to come out. . .I still don't think it has. It uses the VIA K8T890 chipset though and not the nForce 4. And the onboard audio is 5.1 I think. Maybe it will actually hit store shelves soon. I think it's worth a look.

If you DO decide to go single PCIE, I would get at least a 6800 GT for the video.
