i want to see some good video. i'm curious why axl doesn't just use the two guitarists he has already who seem to be more than capable of doing all of the g'n'r stuff. finck even looks like he belongs now, unlike in 2002. shock (?) guitarists are neat i guess, but buckethead certainly didn't fit the g'n'r look (he's a great guitar player, don't get me wrong) and ron thal (aka bumblefoot) looks the part and all but how much can he really be doing? sharing leads with finck? anyway, the bootlegs i've heard/seen so far do sound great, axl sounds MUCH better than he did the last run.

edit: oh yeah, for the hopefuls, slash was on camp freddy radio last night with matt sorum, he's not going back to gnr, he's happy with VR, there's a dvd coming out, he didn't really tell axl he was tired of vr, etc etc.

The reason for the third guitarist will obviously be more apparent when the album is released. Even in the demo leaks, it's obvious all 3 guitars input their parts to fit the songs. On the new songs performed live like Better, etc. as well.

Well..... Slimrhcp and I had a great time Sunday night.

We got to meet bumblefoot (new guitarist that replaced Buckethead) before the show. I guess he could walk around freely and speak to people considering he just joined the band and people do not know who he is.

Anyways, Slim was talking to him for a good 10 min. It was pretty cool to hear what he had to say.

The concert exceeded my expectations. Axl sounded really good. Leaps and bounds better than '02. Robin Fink had some really cool solos as well as Bumblefoot. Most of them had a pretty good stage presence.

It was def in my top 3 concerts ever. Anyone else go?

real GnR?

The only other original member there will be Izzy, there is also a replacement for Buckethead who hasn't been named yet. I wish I could go see these shows (they are playing 4) but I live in Illinois. 🙁

thats not GnR then....

thats like Van Halen without the van halens.. just doesnt work..

Izzy showed up last night. He played on Think About You, Patience, and Nightrain and supposedly cried during Patience. Kid Rock also guested on Nightrain and Sebastian Bach guested on My Michelle again as well. Last night seemed to be one hell of a concert, I only wish I could of gone.

poop. i should've ditched that whole mother's day thing and gone.

It's annoying that people love to point out how Dizzy is not an original member. That's true, but remember Slash isn't an original member either. He replaced Tracii Guns. The REAL original members who contributed to appetite for destruction were Axl, Izzy, and Duff. Slash is given too much credit as Axl and Izzy were the primary songwriters.

The original Guns N' Roses consisted of: Axl, Izzy, Tracii, Ole Beich (Bass), and Rob Gardener (Drums).

You're right, sorry about the error. 😱 I hate posting anything incorrect about GNR. Thanks!

Slash said he didn't even talk to Axl at all, much less about rejoining GnR. He said he hasn't talked to Axl since 1996.

RIP Guns N Roses
