Meh ... fvck that. I will eat as much as I damn well please. Last time I checked, it was a (somewhat) free country. Also, I get plenty of exercise.

A stupendous amount of exercise BARELY accellerates weight loss. Normal excercise, like a 20 minute walk every day is all you need to stay fit/maintain muscle. Crazy diets never work anyway, so the best thing you can do to maintain weight loss is to change your eating habits to normal caloric intake for your height. If you want to lose weight fast, you will get all of it back plus more. Study after study after study has proven all of the above.

Shit you see on shows like The Biggest Loser is insane!

Its a sad day when society thinks 20 minutes a day of walking makes you a fit and functioning human. Its not a surprise though when the average person in the U.S. is sick. If 'normal' = sick Then you have to go above in beyond to be healthy and even further beyond to be fit.

I doubt you get plenty of exercise or that the exercise you do get in reality justifies the multi thousand calorie surplus you probably take in each day. And I don't need a rebuttal because if I was wrong you wouldn't be fat.
 
Side note, if your new years resolution is to exercise and you know that you are going to give up anyways, please give up earlier so you can stop overcrowding the gym.

Grr I hate this time of year to work out. It doesnt clear out until the end of February.

Since 100% of new years resolutions fail, statistically it might make more sense to try to gain weight. Then if you screw that up, you might accidentally lose weight 😉

That's because it's a stimulant and it causes the stomach to contract; they can't eat large solid meals the way a fat person can. They live more like how babies live and their diet heavily relies on liquids.

Interestingly, I have yet to meet an academic in my field who is fat. Maybe a tad overweight, but none of the typical stuff.

Why, I've been lifting for 14 years and always have used gloves. I don't want to touch the bar after a diseased wanker like you just got done doing a 100 reps of 20 lb curls.

Doesnt really matter since it would just transfer to your gloves. Most people I know dont ever wash their gloves so same shit pretty much. I stopped using gloves after a while. It helped a lot in terms of grip strength IMO.

Actually I got use to wearing them because I use to warm up with a Speed bag before lifting and cool down with a Heavy Bag after so I just kept them on. After years of doing that I just feel more comfortable wearing them. Hell if I had known it wasn't the cool thing to do maybe I would have taken them off between the Speed bag and the Heavy bag....nah probably not.

And your right, I don't wash my gloves. In fact they are pretty beat up. I usually keep a pair until they are about ready to fall apart.

I'm not trying to be sensitive, but in our information age, anyone should know better that bio-genetics should be considered as well as informing about societal impacts of capitalism and sociology. And no one should be blaming with victim-hood thinking, my point is no one should be bashing on anyone without offering serious elements to help someone succeed.

I try to help people understand choices and consequences, but I also respect the power of influence. Not even linking to a site on nutrition aid or obesity, that's shameful.

Eating so much, may have more to do with eating the right foods that are healthy, or what times of day food is better recommended to be eaten on a timed schedule. And exercising without proper moderation can be harmful, especially if a certified trainer is not involved, to help oversee any health risks. Don't be surprised that not many people know about this kind of stuff, because they just haven't simply been exposed to it, or do not know where to find this kind of information.

Anyway, I'm sure some people on this forum took a punch in their esteem just reading your insults and poor judgement, Op. Better luck next time at motivating the masses.

*yawn* the vast, vast majority of overweight people simply need to put down the fork. Its not a bio-genetic thing, its not a lack of a site on nutrition aids, its simply they eat too much. Its really very simple science, no matter how haughty certain people want to get about it.
