Seriously. Fox News. These lines of argument are considered so insipid, so stupid, and so creepy, that even Fox is calling people out on them. The least professional, most ultra right wing, most hackish news network in America has had enough. I hope that puts things in perspective.

Criticize Obama all you want, in many ways he deserves it and open criticism is something our country needs. If you're going to do it though, please criticize him in a sane way.
Does this mean Fox News is now considered a legit source around here??

Seems that every time someone posts something from Fox they get attacked. Just wondering if we have changed our standards, or is Fox only usable when it agrees with the left wing POV??

BTW Obama is a European Socialist, call it Socialism light. In Euro-socialism we have a free market privately own economy, but the government taxes the hell out of it to provide social services.

In 'real' socialism we would have government run business in addition to the social services.

Here I go throwing bicyles to fish again, but the logic is:

No, Fox is NOT a 'legit news source' because of this. It remains a right-wing propaganda outlet.

But you know this, because you constantly post things of the mirror format, whenever you can get some quote from a 'left-wing source' that supports your point, you use it saying 'even THIS LIBERAL' says it, without claiming you see them as any more correct or legitimate because of that one point. As with your tired 'even Al Gore was in favor of extraordinary rendition' anecdote.

There's a concept I've explained before, called 'statement against interest'. What it means is, the person saying they DID the crime is more credible than the person saying they did not. Saying they HAD an affair is more credible than saying they did not. This is the source of the 'only Nixon could go to China' saying, he was views as 'so anti-communist' that he was immune to the charges of 'soft on communism' that would be made if a Democrat had done the same thing.

So, 'Fox News says right-wing position is correct' is not news, while 'Fox News says left-wing position is correct' gets the 'even Fox says' comment.

Just as the chairman of the Democratic Party saying Republicans were right about something could be cited as 'even he says...'

It's sad how you feign ignorance and surprise by this and disengenuously question it while pretending you don't do the same thing.

Oh... isn't that cute... the guy with no ideas of his own is throwing out yet another insult.

Why don't you try making a response with some of your own ideas instead of acting like a troll?

You don't need mine to offer yours. Tell us what you think instead of just throwing out insults and barbs.

Every post you have made in this thread has been an insult or cheap shot. You have yet to offer one bit of honest opinion on Obama and what you think about him and socialism etc.

So in other words you are not going to offer your legit opinion??

Why don't you just admit to trolling in this thread and get it over with.

No, it means that even right wing propaganda outlets are unwilling to brand Obama a socialist because it's so ridiculous. That was the point of my OP.

Huh...Didn't the government just buy GM? Doesn't the government have its hand in banks? Isn't it the plan of Obama to take over health care?

Good for you. The simple fact remains that by definition Obamas economic policies have emulated fascism. Find me a better word and I will use it, but facism pretty much covers it.

I have new rule for my own personal use. If you use "socialist" as a way to generically attack a Democrat, you're an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about. If you think "socialistic" is an actual word, you're an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about.

Folks, the number of times conservatives totally misuse "socialist" as a loaded word to attack their political opposition is totally out of proportion compared to how often liberals attack people as "fascist" (in fact I'm pretty sure a conservative was using that attack in this thread). It's moronic and it speaks of a total lack of reasonable thought process. Using a loaded term as the core of your argument is basically admitting that that's all you have. And while I appreciate your honesty in broadcasting to the world that you're a complete tool who can't form even the most basic political argument without resorting to generic attacks...it doesn't really further the discussion a whole lot.

Obama is a progressive that is not under debate. Did George Bush start the ball rolling? Yes. So Righties have to admit that. But obama now is making that look like kidsplay. He's Nationalized GM he is strong arming the banks, hes pushing to control your healthcare...
