Ahh so this IM virus/trojan is making the rounds here at work via MSN Messenger. You click on it, it asks you do you want to open the file. I've managed to clean it off the infected PC's and distribute instructions to our remote offices (it didn't seem to be caught by Symantec for some reason).

The person who perpetrated this through our office? My boss, the Manager of IT Operations. Fvcking dipsh!t. :|

Anyone else's boss lack all fvcking common sense?

I had a virus like that sweep across an entire dorm I'm in charge of IT for about 2 weeks ago. One girl had it and she IM'ed everyone on her fvcking buddylist which is everyone who lives in my dorm.

Gee, some random person sent me an unsolicitated .PIF file, accompanied by a message in Engrish/Gibberish hyrbid claptrap. Which is totally out of character. I think I'll open that right away, must be important.

:p

This is getting out of hand when I talk to my friends that use MSN Messenger. My brother (who has about 100-120 contacts on his list) gets messaged about every ten minutes asking to accept something like Humor.exe or Funny.scr and of course he doesn't. Thing is, he's a 14-year-old with common sense to not accept that, while someone like my coworkers wouldn't.

I've been using my own custom client, and thank god I don't have file transfers available (and its for OS X)
