I want to find the cheapest flight to maui:
-leaving from Oakland or Sacramento Oct 25 AM and coming back the 30th PM.
-3 star minimum.
-$1500 budget for hotel+ air (2 people)
-staying in Kaanapali or Lahaina
-preferably condo style on the ground
-has to be on the beach
-non-stop flight
-queen size bed
-this is for 2 people so i need 2 tickets

Find a 4+ star hotel under these conditions and i'll paypal you $25
Find something for me for under $1350 and i'll paypal you $25

Let the hunt begin. Best deal wins (best combo of price/quality) . Ends on Sep 18 2006, i don't want to book it any later than that.

BTW, direct links to expedia/travelocity/etc don't work. they're based on your cookies... email me the deal in addition to telling me about it. wizerdvc@yahoo.com

Thanks for your help. I'm running this on the other forum i'm on www.r6messagenet.com. There's only 1 winner

You know, this really isn't a bad idea. Let us know how it turns out, I'm thinking about a week or ten days on Maui near the end of the year and might do the same thing if it works.

travelzoo is your friend $579/person

**the catch**
they have these deals pretty often, but you have to be willing to travel last minute. For example, the link i gave you is for late september flying. You have to be willing to check again in mid october to get your dates

Pleasant Holidays isn't a bad way to do this. I've used them a couple of times. We now own a timeshare, so all I ever need is air and car, but here ya go:
(keep in mind, these also include a rental car, which you didn't mention in the original specs...
http://www.pleasantholidays.com/PleasantHolidaysWeb/Welcome.do

Use their website and spec the days you want, and hotel you want...
I can't beat TheChort's travelzoo prices, but for a little more, you can have the same MauiLu with the appropriate guaranteed reservations...~$678/pp which, if IIRC, is not in Lahaina or Kaanapali, but down near Kihei.
BTW, not one of the best on the island...
For $757/pp you can have a room at the Royal Kahana. Just about 15 minutes north of Kaanapali, nice condo type rooms, but not a lot of amenities on site.
$733/pp Resortquest Maui Banyan in Kihei
and on, and on, and on.............

Expedia offers 2-1/2 star places from $633 and up, 3 star from the low to mid $700's...
