That's a perspective that will radically change over time.

They start with Public Enemy #1, but then they expand the definition. It will not rest until only The Party has power and agency. And it'll follow the ancient Roman tradition of anyone beneath your station is a slave to do with as you please. Human rights will not exist in any meaningful capacity. Attacking Trans is just another step along that road.

Being Independent just means you'll be a further step away from being intentionally targeted.
