Hey college kids!!! How much more school do you have before you graduate?

I just started thinking in the last couple of days that I'm almost finished with my first college degree. I'm getting old though since I'll be turning 24 in August... I took what should have been 4 years and really drug it out. I guess I've not been going to school full time for almost 2 years though. I just have to finish 12 hours over the summer and another 7 hours in the fall. Most of the classes I have left are electives and retakes to bring up the old GPA... Then I get to start grad school. Fun eh?

How about you all....how much further do you have to go? Do you have plans on going futher or quitting while you can?

I have 2 more semesters after the current one. I'll be 31 when I graduate...you are not old. 😉

I plan on going back for my MBA within 5 years of graduation.

I've got one more year, then I'm enlisting in the Navy under the SEAL Challenge.

Screw a higher degree; if there's one thing I've learned in school it's that it's hella overrated.

a month and 2 days

graduation is on May 23rd, last day of classes May 7th, exams May 10th-18th, yes we have them on weekends, grades are due the 19th of may and thern we have senior week, a week long period of school endorsed drinking,

seeing as i have no finials im a done on may 7th and have 2 weeks to just get wasted 😀

Minus one day. I did my last final yesterday. The idea that university is over forever hasn't kicked in yet... can't believe it's finally over after 4 years.

I totally agree that it's overrated. However, thanks to my compensation management class, I understand that corporate salary caps restrict your top-end potential if you don't have the extra degrees. You can make mad-cash faster if you have one. My decision to go to Grad school is only because I work for the University....I'm there every day anyway and I get free tuition. If it weren't for that, I would go on to work somewhere else and say screw it.

after next week...3 more years of this. then med school... then residency. (last two are hopefuls) . The joys of education never end.

Guess it's a good thing I don't plan on joining the corporate world. No desire to work in a cubible all day. I'll do something exciting (hopefully as a SEAL) until I blow something out, then I'll be a teacher for the rest of my life until I'm put out to pasture.

.... I lost about a year because of switching majors, then I switched schools which means I lost 2+ years of credits. Taking MCAT this August, and only need 1 more class that's only being offered in the Fall. IF I decide to stay for another year and a half I could earn 3-4 majors total (mainly biology and chemistry fields). But I'm 24 and this has taken long enough. I then apply for Med-Schools, Phd programs, and graduate schools (in order of what I want, gotta have a backup plan). "A Lot More"

will be graduating in about a month...may 22nd. can't wait. this will be the end of 4 years of optometry school on top of 4-5 years of undergrad (i partied a little much). 😉

1 year left for my double bachelors degree (BS/BA or BS/BBA), then maybe a Masters in Accounting (if I get the BBA) and/or law school (as my last step). So I'm looking at four or five more years. It'll be worth it.

i have 2 classes left, which i will probably stretch out for 2 more quarters so i can take some classes just for fun

applying for law school, will take a year off

if i don't get into any i guess i'll get a comp sci job, by that time i can reapply to MS 😛

It's what you make out of that degree and time in college that really matters. I do belive college grads make on the average $10-15,000 more then people w/ high school diplomas. That number increases for people who have their masters and PHd's.
