Time to upgrade your client! I was just testing the newest client for OGR on my Cyrix and decided to try the new Athlon RC5 core. Results:

Average of 5 benchmarks for OGR core #0 (GARSP 5.13): 640019.024 nodes/sec
Average of 5 benchmarks for RC5 core #3 (RG Cx re-pair): 263967.232 keys/sec
Average of 5 benchmarks for RC5 core #6 (RG/HB ath): 269319.584 keys/sec 😀
 
Wooooooohooooo! I'll change cores imediatly 🙂 Funny how the Athlon core makes it faster.... 🙂.....guess i can't complain!

I had been wondering for awhile if the new Athlon cores would be faster on Cyrixes. I knew the Cyrix core was the previous best core for Athlons, so it made sense. 🙂

Maybe you'd better bench too, though, just to be sure.
 
Hymmmm.....it appears that the two cores are within 99.6 % of each other 🙂 I let the blocks crack over night, when it wasn't in use (for two nights). The #3 core (cx repair) gave 544kkeys/sec, the athlon core gave 543kkeys/sec.....not much of a diff at all, but its back on #3 now 🙂
