I think you missed my point. I wasn't dismissing what you had to say because of your beliefs, I was mocking you because of your beliefs. The best way to look at me making fun of you being a creationist is as a form of icing on top of the rest of my post.
Anyways, now on to the rest of your post. You contradicted yourself in your first paragraph. First you say you didn't compare Bush to Obama, then you said that you compared that they both had gaffes. Guess what? That's comparing the two. I found Obama walking into the wrong thing mildly amusing, but I had completely forgotten about it until Winnar's moronic "hurr hurr librul media" post in which he, like you, couldn't wrap his brain around why some people might find Bush doing this funnier and more notable than Obama.
That's the thing about this, it has absolutely nothing to do with partisanship, it has to do with me being sick of idiots like you and Winnar. If it had been someone else I probably wouldn't have even responded, but all you guys ever spit out around here are really really dumb posts. Winnar's worse than you, because you at least make an effort, but it's not even a competition you should want to be in.

The one and only reason you brought my belief in Creationism, was to marginalize me on a forum where you know you'll get a nod of approval from probably 80+% of the locals. Your posts towards me and other conservatives and/or religious people drip with instances like this, where you come off as if you're trying not so much to come to the truth but to stay in the good graces of those on this forum that you agree with already. it's obvious you have issues with approval, because I lost track how many times you've replied to me where you appeal to my sense of unity instead of using real logic that points to truth. I won't ditch my beliefs based on consensus, we both know that's not how you find truth and I laugh everytime i see this from you.

The incident in this article wasn't a fake door. It was a locked door, and locked on the other side.
Come to think of it, not a bad idea to make it mandatory that all POTUS enter the White House by crawling through a window. Symbolically seems right on.

First off, its not Obama's package, it was crated by Pelosi and gang... But, I agree, WAY too much pork.
If, and I mean IF, Obama and the senate dont demand alot of that pork be taken out of the bill before it passes, I will lose all faith in this "change" motto and will have to agree Obama is just another politician.
Lets see what actually passes though. There have already been some things taken out of the bill the house passed., the Senate and Obama damn well better take more

It's just that when Bush tried to open a locked door, it played right into the stereotype that he was a moron. Obama isn't surrounded by that stereotype, hence the reason why it is only mildly amusing and why they aren't truly the same thing in terms of magnitude of hilarity.

I've done more than my fair sure of defending Mr. Bush, but this is silly.
The general sentiment is that Mr. Bush is not all that bright, so when an error like this occurs to him it's natural to play it up as more evidence he's a goof. With the general sentiment being that President Obama is a pretty sharp tack, it's much harder to turn this into comedy (or a news story).
