Just wanted to let you guys know that an awesome (and hilarious) musician, Steve Poltz, is gonna be playing the Saxon Pub tonight at 10:30. He's sort of an acoustic singer/songwriter sort, but is damned funny - he's most well known for producing Jewel's first (and only decent) album, but you can't blame him for that. He's much better than that introduction would make him seem.

Anyway, just a heads up to y'all down there. I saw him last night (in Seattle) and the show was unbelievable. I was laughing through just about the entire thing - he told a ton of stories, and was funny as hell.

www.poltz.com - Website.

If you're a hardcore Metallica fan, you probably wouldn't like him, but otherwise he's worth checking out. Sorta a light, folksy, country sound that some of you down there would dig. 😀

Sound clips - unfortunately all in RA format.

Yup. Should be a great show, and it's only $8 as well.

saw an ian moore show there once, pretty good and cozy. we sat with ian's webmaster, talked to him quite a bit

Yeah, after last nights show Steve hung out with the audience and talked with all of us. Considering he made a shitload off co-writing You Were Meant for Me, he's an awesome and very humble guy. If you go make sure to ask about his David Cassidy story. 😀
