good luck

b&m has these.. i guess some b&m

Thanx...I need some CD-R's, and I always had good luck with the HP ones. I was wondering when the hell Sears was going to drop the price on these since HP's out of the recordable-CD market.

Note: the pic shows a pack that looks like it is NOT TY (taiyo yuden) All of the taiyo yuden cdr's i have ever recieved have come in a Offwhite colored-screw top 50pk case - including HP. This is not to say that they don't ALL come in those cases, but just a word of warning. Also, you may not recieve the pack in the pic

YMMV 😱

Just picked some up in Janesville, WI Sears. They were marked 29 something on the shelf, and there are alot left. 16X rated.

Just picked up the last 3 packs at B&M Sears (PearlRidge) here in Hawaii. Identified as Taiyo Yudens.

Was kind of bummed-out at first because Sears online doesn't deliver to Hawaii and their offers aren't supposed to be valid in Hawaii. Called the PearlRidge store and got the last three put on hold then rushed out to the store.

Thanks for the great heads-up!

Good point, but that looks like the top of the case. Anyways, I'm about to go the mall and pick mine up. I'll scan the CD's, and the label off the cover and post when I get back.

Alright, pretty good. Picked up two for a total of $26.80 after ship & tax, so $13.40 each. Paid $50 for my last 50 pack.

I just got back from the Milford Ct. store and they had plenty in stock. All were on the shelf at $29.99 with no signs indicating the sale price. Even the guy at the cash register in the electronics department didn't know about it and seemed very surprised when they scanned at $9.88. Every spindle they had was Taiyo Yudens with the good old screw cap, not the Memorex-style twist off top. Thanks NeoSolo, that's a great find getting these things for that price without the rebate hassle. I picked up 4 spindles, that should last a couple of weeks at least 😉

Taiyo's are good due to the location of the plant - Japan.

Japan has export policies in place which have a higher quality control standard for blank media (in comparison to European nations [Ritek] and Korea).

I've had nothing but luck with not only TYs, but any made in Japan CD-R (Mitsui are nice as well).

Same here. I picked up my spindle from the Ingram Park - San Antonio Sears store, and this are the TY discs.

They had 3 more spindles on the floor, and they are still marked as $29.99, but apparently, the AT effect may be going on. I was talking with the lady that broguth my spindle to me from pick-up, and she told me that they had never seen those discs be picked up in the back until today. My one spindle, and another lady earlier this morning who picked up FIVE spindles.

lol,

I think I need to elaborate on jeromysmith's post. TY seem to be compatible with "most" burners. In addition, thier dye is very good and will hold the date for a long time. If you got the money, buy Kodaks since they are the best but pricey.

The TDK 100-packs I snagged at Target recently are in a similar package, and CD-R Identifier says they're TYs.

I ordered two and when I went to pick them up the deal got a little hotter. It took the guy 5 minutes and 17 seconds to find them in the back room so they gave me a gift certificate for $5!! I guess they have a guarantee that they will pick your order in 5 minutes!

Thank you very much

I went to Sears in Springfield, Oregon because the website said they were available for in store pickup. The guy working in electronics said he has worked there for 3 years and never seen HP CDRs in stock. I was persistent and made him look up the stock number. He went in the back and found a bunch of them.

Never Surrender 🙂

Puchased 100 for $20 and no rebates needed etc...

????????????**Will these burn at 24x?
